ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the causes, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of children with spinal cord injury without radiologic abnormality caused by non-severe violence, and to raise the awareness of spinal cord injury in children. Methods:Retrospective analysis was performed on the age of onset, injury mechanism, main clinical symptoms and occurrence time, treatment process and recovery of children with spinal cord injury without radiologic abnormality caused by non-severe violence. The children were admitted to our hospital from August 2015 to September 2020. Abnormal findings in spinal cord MRI in acute stage were analyzed, and long-term prognosis was followed up by telephone. The degree of spinal cord injury was determined according to the criteria established by the American Spinal Cord Injury Association. Results:Of six patients, three boys and three girls, aged from 16 months to 8 years old.Injury mechanism: fall on the bed, a sudden fall in standing position, fall while jumping in sports. All of the symptoms appeared immediately after trauma, such as limb weakness, pain, unable to walk, urination disorders.Treatment process: spinal immobilization, methylprednisolone pulse therapy[20 mg/(kg·d)], alleviat edema and protect the nerve system, necessary symptomatic treatment including urethral catheterization, the use of antibiotics, timely rehabilitation treatment. No fracture or dislocation was found in all six patients by spinal cord radiometric examination, and MRI of spinal cord indicated abnormal signals of thoracic cord or below. The recovery sequence of spinal cord function: urination function recovery, pain from lower limbs relief, lower limbs weakness improvement.By the time of follow-up by telephone, the course of disease was 1 to 5 years. Urine fecal incontinence was found in one patient, and his muscle strength of both lower extremities belong to grade Ⅰ, atrophic changes were found in spinal cord MRI.The remaining five patients were able to walk independently, complained of leg pain during long distance walking, mild varus or valgus, and no obvious abnormality in spinal cord MRI.Conclusion:In daily activities, except bend down in dancing, falling on the sacral tail is easy to cause spinal cord injury without fracture and dislocation in children. The damaged spinal cord function often cannot recover thoroughly, and even cannot recover. It is advisable to identify early, formulate comprehensive treatment measures in time, strive to improve the prognosis.

ABSTRACT

【Objective】 Corin, a transmembrane serine protease that can cleave atrial natriuretic peptide precursor (pro-ANP) into atrial natriuretic peptide with smaller bioactive molecules, participates in the pathophysiological process of hypertension and cardiac hypertrophy. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship of Corin gene variation with blood pressure responses to sodium and potassium dietary interventions. 【Methods】 In 2004, we recruited 514 participants from 124 families in 7 villages of Baoji, Shaanxi Province, China. All the subjects received a 3-day normal diet, a 7-day low-salt diet, a 7-day high-salt diet, and finally a 7-day high-salt and potassium supplementation. Fifteen single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of Corin gene were selected for final analysis. 【Results】 SNPs rs12509275 were significantly associated with diastolic blood pressure (DBP) response to low-salt diet, while rs3749584 was associated with pulse pressure (PP) response to low-salt diet.SNP rs3749584 and rs10517195 were significantly associated with PP response to high-salt diet. In addition,rs17654278 were significantly associated with systolic blood pressure (SBP) response to high-salt and potassium supplementation, rs2271037 was significantly correlated with DBP responses to high-salt and potassium supplementation, and rs4695253, rs12509275, rs2351783, rs36090894 were significantly associated with PP response to high-salt and potassium supplementation. 【Conclusion】 Corin gene polymorphisms were associated with blood pressure response to sodium and potassium, suggesting that Corin gene may be involved in pathophysiological process of salt sensitivity and potassium sensitivity.

ABSTRACT

Christianson syndrome is a rare X-linked disease caused by mutations in the SLC9A6 gene. The clinical manifestations are male developmental delay, language disorder, seizures, mental retardation, ataxia, microcephaly and so on. Two cases of male children with Christianson syndrome were reported. The proband was 1 year and 11 months old. Clinical manifestations include microcephaly, global developmental delay, and seizures. The electroencephalogram showed that the central midline region of spikes and slow waves were emitted, and all exons sequencing detected a mutation in the SLC9A6 gene chrX: 135084373 [c.803+1(IVS6)G>A]. The proband′s brother was 4 years and 8 months old. The clinical manifestations were similar. The electroencephalogram showed spikes and spines in the Rolandic area on both sides. Slow waves and spiny slow waves were emitted. Magnetic resonance imaging suggested brain atrophy. The genetic verification results were consistent with the proband. The SLC9A6 gene c.803+1(IVS6) G>A splicing mutation was a pathogenic mutation in this family.

ABSTRACT

Clinical data of a case of 4H syndrome admitted to the Department of Neurology, Anhui Children′s Hospital in January 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The male patient with 2 years and 7 months old had clinical manifestations of motor and mental retardation, unstable gait, and abnormal tooth development.Head magnetic resonance imaging revealed abnormal brain white matter development.Family-wide exon detection revealed compound heterozygous mutations of the POLR3 A gene, c.3858C>A (exon29) and c. 3226G>A (exon24), which were newly detected pathogenic mutations. It is suggested that 4H syndrome should be considered in children with early developmental retardation, abnormal tooth development, and abnormal white matter.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To study the improvement effects of Weijing deco ction on AECOPD model rats and its possibile mechanism. METHODS :Totally 55 male SD rats were randomly divided into normal group ,model group ,Weijing decoction low-dose and high-dose groups (8.37,16.74 g/kg,by crude drug ),dexamethasone group (positive control group ,0.09 mg/kg),with 11 rats in each group. Except for normal group ,AECOPD model was induced by cigarettes combined with lipopolysaccharide in other groups. After modeling ,normal group and model group were given constant volume of water intragastrically ,and other groups were given relevant medicine intragastrocally ,twice a day ,for 14 days. After last intragastric administration ,the serum level of IL- 1 β was determined, and pathological changes of lung tissue and bronchus were observed in each group ;mRNA expression of MMP-9 and TIMP- 1 genes in lung tissue were detected ;protein expression of Ras homologous gene family member (RhoA), dishevelled associated activator of morphogenesis- 1(DAAM1)and hyperplasic suppress gene (HSG)in lung tissue were also determined. RESULTS :Compared with normal group ,the levels of IL- 1β in serum,mRNA expression of MMP- 9 and TIMP-1 as well as protein expression of RhoA and DAAM 1 in lung tissue were increased significantly in the model group(P<0.05),while protein expression of HSG in lung tissue was decreased significantly (P<0.05);there were many chronic inflammatory cells infiltrating around the bronchus ,some airway mucosa epithelium exfoliating ,alveolar compensatory dilation, pulmonary septal capillary dilation and hyperemia. Compared with model group ,the levels of IL- 1β in serum,mRNA expression of MMP- 9 and TIMP- 1 in lung tissue were decreased significantly in Weijing decoction high-dose group (P<0.05);the protein expression of RhoA and DAAM 1 in lung tissue were decreased significantly in Weijing decoction low-dose and high-dose groups(P<0.05),while the protein expression of HSG in lung tissue was increased (P<0.05);the pathological changes of Weijing decoction high-dose group ,such as inflammatory cells infiltrating around the bronchus and shedding of airway mucosa , were improved significantly , and there was complete alveolar epithelium structure but no obvious pulmonary dilation. CONCLUSIONS:Weijing decoction can improve AECOPD model rats to certain extent ;its mechanism may be associated with down-regulating mRNA expression of MMP- 9 and TIMP -1 as well as protein expression of RhoA and DAAM 1 in lung tissue , up-regulating protein expression of HSG in lung tissue so as to inhibit the airway remodeling.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effect of nursing intervention based on the integration theory of health behavior change in pelvic floor muscle exercise of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) after early cervical cancer surgery. Methods:A total of 134 patients with pelvic floor dysfunction after early cervical cancer surgery were selected and divided into test group ( n=67) and control group ( n=67) by random digits table method. The test group received three months of pelvic floor muscle exercise based on the theory of healthy behavior change. The control group received conventional pelvic floor rehabilitation care. The Pelvic Floor Distress Inventory-Short Form 20(PFDI-20), Pelvic Floor Impact Questionnaire-7(PFIQ-7), General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) and Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS) were evaluated before the intervention (T0), After one month of intervention (T1) and at the end of the intervention (T2). Results:The results of repeated measurement analysis of variance showed significant group/time interaction between PFDI-20 and PFIQ-7 scores ( Finteraction=29.196,13.213, both P<0.05); significant group/time interaction between GSES and SSRS scores ( Finteraction value was 25.664,70.240, both P<0.05). At the end of the intervention, the scores of PFDI-20 and PFIQ-7 in the test group were 66.54±14.04 and 73.20±7.41, which were lower than 77.47±15.91 and 78.39±8.51 in the control group over the same period. The difference was statistically significant ( t value was -4.216, -3.765, both P<0.01); the GSES and SSRS scores of the test group were 2.86±0.30 and 50.37±2.45, which were higher than the control group (2.51±0.34 and 46.42±2.82), the differences between the groups were statistically significant ( t value was 6.447, 8.662, both P<0.01). Conclusion:The nursing intervention plan based on the integration theory of health behavior change can significantly improve the self-efficacy, social support level and quality of life of patients with PFD after early cervical cancer surgery, and enhance the short-term and long-term pelvic floor rehabilitation effect of patients.

ABSTRACT

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) fingerprint,anti-inflammatory activity as well as the correlation between them in Speranskiae Tuberculatae Herba. Method: Fingerprint by HPLC was established on Speranskiae Tuberculatae Herba from different sources. The common peaks were evaluated on the basis of similarity evaluation together with hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) and principal component analysis (PCA). Ear swelling induced by xylene in mice model was used to study the anti-inflammatory activity. Grey relational analysis (GRA) and partial least square regression analysis (PLSR) were used to study the relationship between the HPLC fingerprint and the anti-inflammatory activity. Result: The HPLC fingerprint of Speranskiae Tuberculatae Herba was established and 24 common peaks were determined, with the similarity above 0.907 (except for S2 and S5). Four peaks were identified by comparing to reference substances. The result of HCA showed that Speranskiae Tuberculatae Herba from different sources were clustered into four categories,in consistent with the result of PCA. Combined with discriminant analysis of partial least squares discrimination analysis (PLS-DA),three signature compounds represented by 5,6,7 peaks were responsible for the differences between groups. Different sources of Speranskiae Tuberculatae Herba differed in anti-inflammatory activity. The sectrum-activity relationship showed that the peaks 1,4,5,6,and 10 were positively correlated with the anti-inflammatory activity. Conclusion: The HPLC fingerprint of Speranskiae Tuberculatae Herba was established, and 5 components closely related to the anti-inflammatory activity were determined. The present study provide more comprehensive reference for quality control of the Speranskiae Tuberculatae Herba.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To explore clinical application effects of skin distractor on the treatment of scars and to observe effects of skin distractor with different pull speeds on different parts scars of human body.@*Methods@#One hundred and four patients with scars, conforming to the study criteria, were hospitalized in our unit from January 2014 to June 2015. Patients were divided into 2 mm/d group and 4 mm/d group according to the random number table, with 52 patients in each group. After admission, skin distractors were pasted on scars in face and neck, trunk, and extremities of patients in 2 groups, with inner edges of pasteboards close to outside edges of longer sides of scars. Skin distractors in 2 mm/d group and 4 mm/d group were pulled to scars axis direction as speeds of 2 mm/d and 4 mm/d, respectively. Pull time equals values of pull speeds divided by width of scars. Scars were resected after finishing pulling. Immediately after scars resection, skin distractors were pasted again with inner edges of pasteboards close to outside edges of longer sides of incision and removed when stitches were taken out. Scars of patients were scored by Vancouver Scar Scale (VSS), and Patient and Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS) was used to record scores of patient scar assessment scale (PSAS), observer scar assessment scale (OSAS) and overall scores of patients and observers of scars of patients before and one year after scars resection. Data were processed with χ2 test, independent samples t test, paired samples t test, independent samples non-parametric rank-sum test and paired samples non-parametric rank-sum test.@*Results@#(1) Scores of all scars of patients in 2 groups before scars resection were close (with t values from -1.384 to 0.622, P values above 0.05), obviously higher than those of one year post scars resection (with t values from 11.085 to 24.835, P values below 0.01). Scores of scars in face and neck, trunk and extremities in 2 groups before scars resection were close (with Z values from -1.651 to -0.035, t values from -1.549 to 0.219, P values above 0.05), significantly higher than those of one year post scar resection (with Z values from -2.992 to -2.555, t values from 8.739 to 19.076, P values below 0.01). ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the prevalence and characteristics of musculoskeletal pain (MSK) pain in Korean farmers using initial survey data of Farmers' Cohort for Agricultural Work-Related MSK pain (FARM) study. METHODS: Farmers (534 females and 479 males; mean age 57.2±7.5 years) who owned or rented a farm and belonged to an agricultural cooperative unit were recruited. Presence of pain for each body part (neck, shoulder, arm/elbow, wrist/hand/finger, low back, leg/foot), and characteristics of MSK pain (prevalence, location, duration, severity, and frequency) during the last year was assessed. Additionally, demographic data such as farming duration, history of prior injury, and workload (low, moderate, somewhat hard, or hard) were collected using structured questionnaires. RESULTS: Almost all subjects (n=925; 91.3%) complained of pain in more than one body part. The frequency order was low back (63.8%), leg/foot (43.3%), shoulder (42.9%), wrist/hand/finger (26.6%), arm/elbow (25.3%), and neck (21.8%). Low back pain was more frequent in those with over 30 years of farming experience (odds ratio [OR], 1.40; 95% confidence interval, 1.08-1.81). MSK pain was related to history of prior injury (OR, 2.18-5.24; p<0.05) in all body parts except for leg/foot, and very hard workload was associated with low back, leg/foot, neck, shoulder, and wrist/hand/finger pain (OR, 2.88-10.83; p<0.05). CONCLUSION: Most Korean farmers experience MSK pain; furthermore, there is a significant association between pain, history of prior injury, and workload, suggestive of the necessity of coping and preventive strategies to reduce injury or workload.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To establish the mouse model for the expression of PD-L1 by hydrodynamic injection and to study the effects of myeloablative conditioning on hydrodynamic injection-mediated PD-L1 expression.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Plasmid amplification, hydrodynamic injection, collagenase perfusion, real time PCR, ELISA and flow cytometry were applied to test the expression and function of PD-L1. Also, animal models were set up to test the effects of chemical or radiactive myeloablative conditioning on hydrodynamic injection-mediated PD-L1 expression.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The expression of PD-L1 mRNA and protein could be detected as early as 8 h after hyrodynamic injection and reached peak expression by 24 h, and returned to baseline level by 7 d after injection. Serum PD-L1 level reached to 100 µg/ml as early as 24 h after injection and plateaued at 7 d after injection. Serum PD-L1 persisted for 3 weeks and declined to baseline after 1 month of hydrodynamic injection. The PD-L1 function induced by hydrodynamic injection was consistent with literature reports. At each time point, the PD-L1 expression was not different significantly between the myeloablative conditioning group and control group; the mice transfected with PD-L1 showed a higher survival rate than that in control group.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Myeloablative conditioning does not affect hydrodynamic injection-mediated PD-L1 expression, indicating that the PD-L1 can be used in HSCT mouse model.</p>

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate the effect of 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine on the TGF-beta/smad signal transduction pathway in human keloid fibroblasts (KFSs).</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Firstly, immunohistochemical method was used to detect the positive expression rate of phospho-smad2 and phospho-smad3 in the specimens of 15 cases of keloid and 15 cases of normal skin. The keloid fibroblasts were cultured in vitro with 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine(experimental group) or with DMEM (control group). The effect of 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine on the cell cycle and apoptosis of fibroblasts was analysed with flow cytometry ( FCM). Transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta1, Smad7, phospho-smad2 and phospho-smad3 were analyzed by Western Blot, and Immunofluorescence.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>It was found that the positive expression of phospho-smad2 and phospho-smad3 in keloid were higher than those in normal skin. The FCM showed that the proportion of cells in G0/G1 stage was increased, and so does the proportion of apoptosis cells in keloid fibroblasts intervened by 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine. The expression of TGF-beta1, phospho-smad2 and phospho-smad3 protein were significantly suppressed while the expression of smad7 protein increased in keloid fibroblasts with 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine. In addition, 5-aza-2-deoxycytidine reversed phosphorylation and nuclear translocation of smad2 and smad3.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>5-aza-2-deoxycytidine, methylase inhibitors, inhibits cell proliferation and promotes apoptosis of KFSs, which may be associated with the suppression of TGF-beta/smad signal pathway.</p>

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To investigate Epstein-Barr virus(EBV) infection in Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL) of Uygur patients and related clinicopathological characteristics.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>EBV-encoded small RNA (EBER) was detected in 40 cases of HL and 20 cases of lymphoid reactive hyperplasia by in-situ hybridization. Expression of LMP2A in HL was investigated by immunohistochemistry.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>EBV was detected in 26/40 (65.0%) of HL and 5/20 of lymphoid reactive hyperplasia (P < 0.05). The expression level of EBER showed significant difference among various histological subtypes of HL (P < 0.05) and between patients with and without B symptom (P = 0.02). However, no difference was found in relation to gender, clinical stage and tumor burden. The expression of LMP2A in the mixed cellularity and nodular sclerosis classical HL associated with EBV infection was 57.7% (15/26). Expression of LMP2A was not detected in lymphoid reactive hyperplasia cases.</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Uyghur patients with Hodgkin's lymphoma have a high infection rate of EBV and distinct clinicopathologic characteristics.</p>

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To verify the efficacy on lumbar disc herniation treated with Shu-needle therapy in combination with ozone injection of low concentration.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>One hundred and thirty cases of lumbar disc herniation were randomized into a Shu-needle therapy group and an acupotomy group, 65 cases in each one. In the Shu-needle therapy group, Shu-needle therapy was used in combination with ozone injection of low concentration. In the acupotomy group, the conventional acupotomy therapy was applied in combination with ozone injection of low concentration. The treatment was given once every 10 days, 3 treatments made one session. After one session treatment, the clinical efficacy of two groups was observed, scores of visual analogue scale (VAS) and Oswestry disability index (ODI) were counted before and after treatment. The long-term efficacy was followed up in half a year.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The clinical curative rate was 69.2% (45/65) and the total effective rate was 96.9% (63/65) in the Shu-needle therapy group. The curative rate was 43.1% (28/65) and the total effective rate was 84.6% (55/65) in the acupotomy group. In comparison, the efficacy of the Shu-needle therapy group was superior to that of the acupotomy group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05). The scores of VAS and ODI were reduced obviously after treatment as compared with those before treatment in two groups (all P < 0.05). The improvements in the Shu-needle therapy group were superior to those in the acupotomy group (both P < 0.05). In the follow-up observation, the recurrence rate in the Shu-needle therapy group was lower than that in the acupotomy group [17.8% (8/45) vs 46.4% (13/28), P < 0.05].</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Shu-needle therapy in combination with ozone injection of low concentration achieves the superior efficacy on lumbar disc herniation as compared with the acupotomy group.</p>

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To study the efficacy of total knee anhmplasty (TKA) for the treatment of hemophilic knee arthropathy, and to explore the operative characteristics, the selection of prothesis, the effectiveness and safety of clotting factor replacement treatment.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>From January 2008 to June 2010, 10 patients (12 knees)with hemophilic anhropathv underwent TKA. The average age was 33.6 years old (ranged, 17 to 49 years). There was 8 cases of type A hemophilia and 2 cases of type B hemophilia. According to Arnold and Hilgartner classification: 7 knees were IV degree and 5 knees were V degree. The level of VIII factor for replacement treatment was more than 80% on operation day, more than 60% within 3 days after operation, more than 40% from the third day to the second week after operation. Added prothrombin complex concentrate (PCC) to improve the level of IX factor, and the level of IX factor for replacement treatment was more than 40% on operation day, more than 30% within 3 days after operation, more than 20% from the third day to the second week after operation. Functional training was mainly based on continuous passive motion (CPM) device after surgery. Clinical assessment included hospital for special surgery knee score (HSS) and the individual scores (including pain, function, activity, muscle strength, flexion deformity and stability).</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Ten patients (12 knees) were followed-up, and the average duration was 11 months (ranged, 6 to 24 months). The average preoperative HSS score was (44.9 +/- 12.5) (ranged, 29 to 62 scores), whereas the average postoperative HSS score was (84.4 +/- 10.2) (ranged 72 to 96 scores) (P < 0.01). The preoperative individual score including pain, function, activity, muscle strength flexion deformity and stability were significantly improved compared with pre-operation, the differences between them were statistically significant (P < 0.01 ). TKA had the distinct role in relieving pain from preoperative (8.5 +/- 4.1) to postoperative (24.5 +/- 4.4).</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>Under the strict perioperative coagulation factor replacement therapy, TKA is a safe and an effective treatment for hemophmc anhmpathy of knee joint, whicht can effectively relieve pain and improve joint function.</p>

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To study the changes of expression of Survivin mRNA, BCRP mRNA and HER-2 mRNA in breast cancer after TE regimen neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and to find biological markers to predict the efficiency of TE regimen neoadjuvant chemotherapy.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>The gene expressions were detected by RT-PCR from 56 breast cancer patients before and after TE regimen neoadjuvant chemotherapy (docetaxel and epirubicin). The relationships between these gene expressions and chemotherapy responses were analyzed.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The overall response rate to neoadjuvant chemotherapy was 71.4%, including 8.9% (5/56) with complete response and 62.5% (35/56) with partial response. Pathological complete response was found in 4 cases (7.1%). Stable disease and progression of disease were 23.2% (13/56) and 5.4% (3/56), respectively. The expression of Survivin mRNA after neoadjuvant chemotherapy was 35.7% (20/56), significantly lower than 60.7% (34/56) before neoadjuvant chemotherapy (P = 0.008). The expression of BCRP mRNA after neoadjuvant chemotherapy was 19.6%, significantly lower than 37.5% before neoadjuvant chemotherapy (P = 0.036). The positive rate of HER-2 mRNA expression was 41.1% before the chemotherapy, and reduced to 21.4% after the chemotherapy (P = 0.025). The effective rates of the single positive expression of Survivin mRNA or BCRP mRNA were both lower than that of negative expression (P < 0.05). The level of HER-2 mRNA expression alone was not significantly associated with the effective rate of chemotherapy (P = 0.144). When the expression of all Survivin mRNA, BCRP mRNA and HER-2 mRNA were negative, the effective rate of neoadjuvant chemotherapy was higher than that in patients with positive expression (P = 0.003). The level of Survivin mRNA expression was not significantly associated with BCRP mRNA and HER-2 mRNA (P > 0.05).</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The expression of Survivin in combination with BCRP and HER-2 is associated with clinical response to TE neoadjuvant chemotherapy in breast cancer, and can be used as predictive biomarkers for chemosensitivity of TE regimen neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer.</p>

ABSTRACT

This was a restrospective clinical study of 32 children with fractured anantierior tooth fragments. The teeth was reattached by dual cured resin composite (Panavia F), 3M Z350 resin and 3M siglebond-2 bonding agent for at least 6-month recall examination. Only 2 of the restorations were lost, resulting in a 93.75% overall retention rate. The retention teeth exhibited good esthetics and normal function. The high retention rate in this study suggests that reattachment of fractured anantierior tooth fragments offers a convenient viable restorative option for the clinician.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To explore the clinicopathologic features of non-Hodgkin' s lymphoma (NHL) patients seen in our hospital in the recent ten years and to discuss the relationship between clinical data and the prognostic factors. Methods: The clinical and pathological features of 1,012 NHL cases were retrospectively analyzed. Results: The main pathological subtypes included 346 (34.1%) cases of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), 185 (18.3%) cases of peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL), 97 (9.6%) cases of follicular lymphoma (FL), 94 (9.3%) cases of extranodal mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT), 62 (6.1%) cases of nasal NK/T-cell lymphoma and 47 (4.6%) cases of T-lymphoblastic lymphoma. There were 619 (61.2%) cases classified as nodal lymphoma and 393 (38.8%) cases classified as extranodal lymphoma. For the whole group, the 5-year overall survival (OS) rate was 45.8%. The univariate analysis showed that the clinical stage, performance status (PS), B-symptom, age, tumor size, the serum lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) level, the number of extranodal involvement and IPI were correlated with prognosis of NHL(P<0.05). The multivariate analysis showed that the source of T cells, Ⅲ/Ⅳ clinical stage, IPI (3~5) and increased LDH were correlated with poor prognosis (P<0.05). Conclusion: The incidence of NHL in middle-aged people is relatively higher. Extranodal lymphoma and B-cell lymphoma are more frequent in Xinjiang. Immunophenotypes, clinical stages, IPI and the level of LDH expression are closely correlated with prognosis of NHL.
